Your private guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel at 7pm and customize your itinerary, if you like. The itinerary may be modified to meet your preferences. Timing is flexible.

7.30pm Begin the tour at Red Square to re-enact the times of Ivan the Terrible and picture yourself in Middle Ages. Get inspired by the Kremlin walls and the views of the Kremlin fortress from the Big Moskvoretsky Bridge. As much as romantic it is, this area is older than Moscow itself! Breathe in the history, ambiance and fresh breeze. If you like people-watching and window shopping, we're heading to fancy GUM. Have a quick espresso stop in GUM, which hasn't changed a bit for the last 123 years. If sweet is your thing, don't miss a signature ice-cream in GUM, produced with a Soviet design and flavor.

8.00pm Enjoy a fun walk through the historical city center with your friendly local guide. It is an amazing street stroll consisting of Tverskaya Street and historical paths that have a rich choice of cafes and bars: Kamergersky lane, Kuznetsk Bridge, Petrovka Street, Stoleshnikov lane. See the Bolshoi theater, the oldest hotels of Moscow - National and Metropol, the ancient Kitay Gorod wall, the Tretyakov passage.

8.30pm Check out the sights around the Kremlin to catch up on history, watch people or simply get those special night shots in the very heart of Moscow and Russia. See Alexander Garden, the Eternal Flame, the Grotto, the Romanov Obelisk, Kremlin walls and tower, Manege and Lenin's Library, one of the largest libraries in the world.

9.00pm Then off to see the largest Orthodox cathedral in the world - Christ the Savior Cathedral. See what the fuss is about and learn interesting facts like what the cathedral has gone through since it was built in 1883, and how much of gold the dome of the cathedral contains. You'll be surprised. Afterwards, take the beautiful city bridge that leads to Muzeon and Park for stunning views of Christ the Savior Cathedral, the Moskva River and Kremlin from Patriarch bridge.

9.30pm Next, visit the city view deck on Sparrow Hills in front of Moscow State University. From Sparrow Hills, you are able to view Stalin skyscrapers, also known as Seven Sisters. Built in 1950s, the Stalin skyscrapers are unique landmarks and historic reminders of the Soviet times. Listen to fun facts and stories about Soviet times and find out who actually built Moscow State University. Shocking!

If you opt to visit Arbat instead, you won't regret. Fun and entertainment mecca, with bohemian cafes, hipster parties, myriad of souvenir shops and artsy galleries.

10.00pm Complete the tour with an icy beverage in a nightlife hotspot like Etazh or Dandy Cafe. Or if you like, get back to the hotel to savor the memories.

I did this tour a few hours after I arrived in Moscow on July 30th. It was fabulous. A great experience, showing me sights I wouldnt have otherwise seen, and giving me extremely interesting information. My guide was lovely and friendly, as well as being very knowledgeable. I really highly recommend this tour! It was excellent.

This is a perfect way to get an orientation of the city and at the same time learn about the history of Moscow. Tatiana was energetic, knowledgeable and spoke perfect English. I highly recommend this tour as the first thing you do when you arrive.

Had an amazing experience walking the streets of Moscow with Alina. She is very knowledgeable on details regarding key monuments, structures and historical events in the city. Great conversationalist, kept me engaged the whole time. It was a very fun three hour tour with her, she even offered to guide me on how to take the underground metro back to hotel at the conclusion of our tour, which I liked very much. I highly recommend.

Kate was great! It was Moscow's birthday the day I arrived and Red Square was packed! Kate tried her best in getting us front row for the firework show but they set them off elsewhere in which there was really no way of telling where, but it was a great tour especially when I had just arrived in the country earlier that afternoon!

An amazing experience! Anna collected me from my hotel and spent the next 3 hours showing me all the sights I wanted to see in this amazing city. Her knowledge was outstanding but far more importantly, she was a delight to spend time with. My childhood dream had always been to see St. Basils Cathedral lit up in the evening and so Anna planned our tour so that this was our last stop. I am so glad that I booked the tour and so grateful to Anna for her expertise and kindness.

We changed our Russia plans last minute to add a one day stop in Moscow. Given that you need to get tix for all these things (kremlin, armory, diamonds) and they are sold out well in advance, there was no other way to make all of this happen. This trip was like a magic wand that solved the problem.

Kate nicest tour guide ever!! picked me up in my hotel lobby precisely at the arranged time and showed me some amazing spots other than the not-to-be-missed Red Square. All the places we visited were selected reflected a very good taste from Kate and her explanations were meaningful and passionate.
Unfortunately I needed to have a mere 3-hour visit, but she cleatly made the most of it and we met the schedule right on time. It was a small miracle to see so many wonderful spots and views in such a short period of time.
So I ended up feeling really sorry for having such a little time available and I promised myself to go back to Moscow with more available time... and of course to book an extended tour with Friendly Guides! This visit clearly exceeded my expectactions! Congratulations and Thank you so much!

I had a nice walking tour with a student to nice spots with good views starting at 4:30 pm and ending at 6:30 because my legs had enough. Even it was raining quite a lot I enjoyed it. Recommend this tour.
