This tour was great. We brought our two daughters, aged 8 and 6, and they thoroughly enjoyed it as well. The tour guide spoke English well and was very funny. We were able to spend a good amount of time at each stop, but not too much. We didn't feel rushed, but we didn't feel like we spent too long at any one stop either. The lunch that was included was amazing. It was like Tepanyaki, but instead of the meat and veggies being cooked on a griddle, it was cooked on a lava stone from Mount Fuji. It is easy to be overwhelmed with all that Tokyo has to offer, but a tour like this is very helpful for seeing a lot in a small amount of time and learning a lot about the history of Tokyo as well. It also helps you to see some things that you may want to go back to on your own to explore more. Overall, it was well worth the money and was one of the highlights of our 4 days in Tokyo.
This was a good introduction to Tokyo. Although there is not a great deal to see in Tokyo, participation in the tea ceremony enabled us to get the most out of the day.
Truthfully, you could manage all these stops by yourself as long as you have a good map and don't mind self exploration. Every stop was close to subway lines. But the convenience of having it all done for you, in my opinion, was worth the price. After each stop, you just hopped back on the bus and were whisked to your next destination. The view from the top of the Tokyo Tower was breathtaking - and they have those class floors you can stand on and look straight down. The tea ceremony - to be honest - was a bit slow and uncomfortable. You sit in an enchant tea hut on backless benches where you aren't allowed to lean on the walls - so if you're like me and have back problems, you might request to stand for the ceremony. But for me, the best part was the river cruise - for a unique and open view of the otherwise crowded and claustrophobic city. On the river, I felt like I could actually catch a breath of fresh air.
This was awesome and I recommend it to everyone. The lunch is certainly a highlight!
Considering the adverse weather conditions, Very satisfactory, tour guide was excellent. High lights lunch and tea ceremony.
Great experience, professional guide with a traditional Japanese BBQ included.
I took both this tour and the other tour of Tokyo. For me, there's no comparison: this was the better tour. The only thing that would have made this tour perfect is if it included the Meiji Shrine.
The tea ceremony especially was superb, the Sumida River Cruise fantastic, the photo stop on the bridge excellent. Tokyo Tower was ok, and if they would switch the Tokyo Tower with the Meiji Shrine, that would have made this tour perfect. The guide was fantastic and very funny. Lunch in the garden restaurant with traditional Japanese food was excellent as was the explanation and walking tour of Asakusa Kannon Temple.
Overall, a fantastic day tour of Tokyo!
Sako was an excellent guide. This is a great tour for the money.
I was very disappointed with this tour. I feel it does not showcase the best of Tokyo. The river cruise was not worth the time at all. The best part of this tour was the tea ceremony and the temple. Other than that, I feel it does not highlight the best of the city. Very disappointing.
