Canterbury, Leeds Castle, and Dover in One Day from London via shuttle bus. Great time, exceptional tour guide/driver,very knowledgeable and thoughtful. The city was nice, Cliffs of Dover provided special views including France. Leeds castle was stately and grand with 500 acres of lovely gardens. Very nice day :-)
This was a great tour. Talk to the docents at Leeds ccastle. They will give you so much information to enhance your experience. It is Lovely and would love to go back and golf on the grounds. Make sure to visit some of the shops in Canterbury. I bought fascinators for my nieces at a great price. the Canterbury Cathedral is awsome. Liked it better than Westminster. Thought it was more spieitual. Will come back for a longer visit. Dover cliffs was also enjoyable. Need to come back and explore. The tour guide was excellent. Definitely recommend them for their tours.
A nice day trip from London. Paul was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Nice locations. The Easter holiday prevented us from entering Canterbury Cathedral which was disappointing.
Pedro was great! Not sure why we drove through Greenwich to “drive by” the Cutty Sark and the Royal observatory (that’s a day trip in and of itself). Read the fine print, the admission to the castle and Canterbury cathedral are not included. Pedro knew all the “Kodak photo spots” at the castle and the cliffs....stunning scenery, even some time to catch lunch in Canterbury. RECOMMENDED!
It’s a long day and gets dark early after October.
Pedro our guide was excellent. He was nice enough to wait for 5 minutes for a couple of guests who got late. Also his knowledge was good about the places we were visiting. The only negative thing is, when you are doing this tour on a Sunday, the main part of the Canterbury Cathedral would be closed for holy mass and it would be open for visitors only at 12.30pm. But our transport would leave by 12.15pm which means you wont be able to see the best part of the cathedral.
Mark was an entertaining tourguide, handled microphone problem w/humor. Would have liked more time to explore Canterbury, lots of repairs going on.
This is little more than transportation to Leeds Castle, Canterbury and the cliffs of Dover. Keep in mind you need to pay for the admissions at Leeds and Canterbury Cathedral, which will add another £32 pounds to the trip. Got about 2 hours in Canterbury and Leeds, and hour in Dover. The cliffs were nice, just be prepared for moderate hiking along the cliffs to get the good views. Leeds was pretty nice, the grounds are beautiful. Canterbury Cathedral is very old and a lot is under construction right now, but the town is cute and lots of places to eat.
If you want to shop at Canterbury or spend hours at Leeds Castle, then you'll like this. But if you want to see the cliffs, nope. We only got 45 mins at the cliffs. It was our driver's last day with the company. He fought to stay awake for part of the trip, he gave very little commentary, he wasn't very nice. I was glad when it ended.
The locations for this tour were great, however our tour guide/driver on the way there very distracted with the radio and navigation and constantly drifting out of his lane. We also got lost from Canterbury Cathedral to Dover, a half hour drive became 1hr 15 min. Overall it would have been better with a good driver.
The above trip I went on with my 3 kids and paid the pricely sum of £290 for what I thought would be a great trip, it worked out to be the most expensive taxi service i ever went on. I was told we would have WI_FI but what they forgot to mention you got to pay for that/// ridiculous when other coach companies do it for nothing, also we were told we would have a tour guide we didn't have one. The mini bus we travelled on had no toilet, no cold water and i was also told that would be provided it wasn't. Canterbury Cathedral we did not see as they wanted to charge an extortionate amount of money to enter it. Dover cliffs we spent approx 1 hour which was barely not enough time to see the sea not to mind anything else. Leeds castle although beautiful was the most expensive day I have ever encountered I had to pay almost £80 to enter it and then it was just more and more expense after that. Overall what I paid for is not what i got and I am totally disgusted with this trip as the last one I had in January was very good. Total waste of money all I got was a mini bus ride nothing more and a driver who was so boring I almost fell asleep during his announcements. Overall this is not worth the money I paid for it, too much walking, too much money and didn't get what I was told I would get. Never again avoid this trip and make your own way there it would be the best decision you will ever make and save you a fortune whilst doing so.
