It was great to visit such places, recommended
My husband and i took this tour i on July 17, 2017. It was great. We were fortunate to have Ian as tour guide. I say fortunate as we took the Rock Tour last November and he was the tour guide at that one. Ian is very knowledgeable of music and engages in discussions so he shares his knowledge through discussions as opposed to reading scripts. Since we were to only two on the tour it was even better, we got to see what we wanted and time to take pictures. We saw where Waters, Barrett and Guilmore were raised, hung around and played. We had lunch at a local pub over seeing the river that inspired some of the music. I would recommend this tour. Thanks Ian for a great time once again!!!
Colin, and his partner accompanying us that day, Julia, made the Pink Floyd tour really memorable for us. It was only two of us that day so it was a private tour which was awesome. Colin, a Phd from Cambridge itself is really knowledgeable about the area, the era, and its musical influence and history and personally witnessed it all growing up in the 60's and studying at Cambridge. From seeing Syd Barret's childhood home, to his school, to where he used to hang out for inspiration, and sadly, the home he finally passed away from was quite a journey besides all the other things connected to the band. We really recommend the tour to anyone who is a Floyd fan and wants to understand the band better. Besides the Floyd tour, Colin offers many other rock tours as well, couldn't recommend the tour more!
Outstanding. Bob was a great tour guide and gave us much more than we paid for.
... we appreciated the personal touch as we were the only two tourists on this particular excursion. Guide was friendly. Would have liked to have seen some other notable Pink Floyd sites including Britannia Row Studios, Roger Waters' or Syd Barrett's childhood homes. We did see David Gilmour's house in Cambridge where we had sufficient time to explore on our own, we stopped by Abbey Road, we saw Battersea Power Station, and even saw Chelsea Sound Technique, the recording studio for the first Pink Floyd single, Arnold Layne!
