Beautiful castle with a very interesting history. The cathedral was amazing - especially if you love literature. The trip to Greenwich was nice, but too rushed. I especially loved the painted hall and the Cutty Sark. The river cruise back was relaxing and very beautiful. This was a highlight for London!

This was an amazing excursion. The White Cliffs of Dover were amazingly beautiful and we could see France from the shore. Also the Leeds Castle was gorgeous, the grounds, ponds, etc. and also the Canterbury Cathedral was amazing. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

An excellent tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable.
My only extra comment is that the Golden Tours office was not well set up.....really, shouldnt they have clean rest rooms available before 40 people leave for a bus tour?

It was a lot to cover, Leeds Castle was beautifully decorated for Christmas and you even receive a welcome drink of mead as you enter the castle.Canterbury cathedral was also quite interesting but there was no guide so you are pretty much in your own to research what you are seeing when you get home. The rest of the trip was disappointing specially the cruise which was a commuter boat and getting you from point A to point B.

We are happy we booked the tour for the transport, but the guide didn't seem very familiar with the material and, personally, I had a hard time understanding him much of the time. It also seemed somewhat rushed in places. In Dover, for example, we only had 20 minutes to get a picture of the cliffs and get back to the bus. This, after the bus parked 10 minutes away from a good photo spot.

Anyways, a good tour for the transport but not much else.

I used all three major tour companies in London and this tour happened to be with Golden tours. Of my three, I would have to say this was the worst in terms of the guide. She wasn't a very pleasant person and hardly interacted. The day prior I had one with premium tours and brought headphones, expecting to nap on the rides. That day, the guide was so amazing I took them out, whereas this day I put them in while she was talking. I went to three of the castles, and this was definitely least exciting. The only nice room is the library. The cathedral wasn't too worthwhile, but you get plenty of time in town. Also, for those looking to actually visit the cliffs of Dover, I do not recommend the tour. It is a quick 10min. stop to take pictures
