Description
Make your own way to the tour starting point in Victoria, central London, to meet your guide and group. Hop aboard a climate-controlled vehicle and journey from the city into the English countryside.

Begin with a visit to Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of Shakespeare, roughly two hours away. Explore the medieval market town and the half-timbered house where the legendary bard was born. Learn about Shakespeare's family from a fascinating collection of artifacts and experience how his extraordinary work is still relevant today.

Shakespeare’s Schoolroom. See where the iconic English writer spent his school years in this fascinating trip to Shakespeare’s Schoolroom. Explore where it all started for the playwright, before he moved to London to bring his plays to the stage.

Continue to Anne Hathaway’s Cottage & Gardens. See this historical English home — a thatched farmhouse containing original Tudor furniture — where Shakespeare courted his former bride. Meander the cottage’s gardens and grounds overflowing with fragrant blooms and traditional shrubs.

Complementary lunch pack included. Sit down to a box lunch aboard your vehicle and gaze out at the rolling hills and storybook villages as you ride through the Cotswolds, a designated "Area of Natural Beauty."

Stop for photo opportunities in three of the region's prettiest villages, including Bibury and Bourton-on-the-Water, often described as the “Little Venice.”

After a day of sightseeing, arrive back in London at roughly 6:30pm. Your tour then concludes with a drop-off at the original start point.

The Tour Director and Driver were excellent. Visited two lovely villages in the Cotswolds. Also Ann Hathaway’s cottage and Shakespeare’s school, and museum. Enjoyed the visit and talk at the school. The packed lunch was a great idea which left me more time to spend at each location as we were allowed to eat the lunch on the bus.
Highly recommended tour

My boyfriend and I enjoyed this tour. Our guide, Simon, was fantastic. He was efficient, knowledgeable, and entertaining. The Cotswolds is a cute and quaint area--definitely worth leaving London to see. The only disappointment about this tour is that it does not go to Holy Trinity Church, Shakespeare's place of burial.

What a lovely day! Had the perfect amount of time in each location with a very friendly guide- can't get much better than that!

A must see part of England, lots of very pretty villages and some interesting history regarding Shakespeare

Aug 2017

The towns and villages we visited were lovely and really enjoyed the Shakespeare experience. Could have benefited from more explanations and historical background about the places we saw. The lunch box wasn't to my liking but I am a very picky eater so can't really give an expert opinion on that.

we went to three beautiful places in the Cotswold before going to stratford but it was a bit rushed, our guide was good and very informative

This tour would likely have been better with a good guide. Our guide Dolly was an absolute catastrophe. She was rude, disorganized and made constant racist comments. These comments targeted the Chinese, Americans, Meghan Markle and George Washington (yes the first president of the United States). She told stories that were made up and demonstrably false. The “lunch” they advertise was cheese on a roll, so bring something with you. They don’t allow enough time anywhere to actually eat. We were rushed through the stops in the Cotswolds and ended up with too much time in Stratford-upon-Avon. As we were about to leave for the ride back to London we were held up for half an hour because our bus left to pick up another group whose bus had broken down. When the bus returned there were not enough seats for everyone and an argument broke out. The other group refused to get off the bus and we all sat there waiting for another coach bus to arrive and take that group back. What a nightmare.
