Approx 1 Travelling from London is this iconic and Historic Royal Castle at Windsor here you will have 2 hours viewing from St Georges Chapel to the State rooms. From Windsor we travel to 75 mins to UNESCO World Heritage Listed site Stonehenge. When arrived at Stonehenge your chauffeur will escort you to where your tickets need to be collected, these tickets have to be purchased by yourselves in advanced via the Stonehenge website. With tickets and your prepaid Audio Guide in hand you can now at your leisure for 2 hours take in this breathtaking monument of stones and listen to the many theories of there existence. From Stonehenge we will travel onwards to soak in the sights of the picturesque village of Lacock, home to Lacock Abbey. Here we can stop for lunch, 1 hour this will be the perfect opportunity to take some wonderful photos to remember the day with its gorgeous greenery and quintessential English feel. After fully refreshed we will move travelling 30 mins on to the last stage of the tour bath where you can take in the breathtaking and stunning city of Bath was the first city in the UK to be designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Taking in such Bath sights as the exquisite Georgian architecture, the Bath Abbey and the romantic Pulteney Bridge.
Windsor Castle closures
As Windsor Castle is a working royal palace, sometimes the entire Castle or the State Apartments within the Castle need to be closed at short notice.
25-26 December 2019 - Castle completely closed
6-17 January 2020 - Castle completely closed. During this period, worshippers are welcome to attend the daily services at St. George’s Chapel.
6 March 2020 - Castle is closing early. Last admission to the Castle 15:00. Castle closes at 16:00.
9-10 April 2020 - Castle completely closed
15 June 2020 - Castle completely closed
25-26 December 2020 - Castle completely closed
State Apartment closures
18-24 January 2020 - The historic route within the State Apartments is closed. All other rooms in the State Apartments and Semi State Rooms are open as usual.
14 June 2020 - The State Apartments will be closed.
16 June 2020 - The State Apartments will be closed.
Semi-State Room closures
3 December - The Semi-State Rooms are closed until 13:00.
13 December - The Semi-State Rooms are closed.
15 December - The Semi-State Rooms are closed.
16 December - The Semi-State Rooms are closed.
The Semi-State Rooms are open from autumn until spring each year. The Semi-State Rooms are not open on days when the State Apartments are closed.
St George's Chapel
Daily closing time
St George’s Chapel closes at 16:00, although visitors are welcome to attend the evensong service at 17:15.
St. George’s Chapel is usually closed to visitors on Sundays as services are held throughout the day. Worshippers are welcome to attend the services at:
08:30 – Holy Communion
10:45 – Mattins and Sermon
12:00 – Sung Eucharist
17:15 – Evensong
