Description
After our central London pickups we will begin our journey to Windsor. Upon arrival you will be given access to Windsor Castle (entrance included) where you will have plenty of time to learn all about the history of this great site. The original castle was built in the 11th century after the Norman invasion by William the Conqueror and has since been used by monarchs making it the longest-occupied palace in Europe. Today the castle is the Official Residence of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.

The remainder of the morning/early afternoon can be spent exploring the town of Windsor. You may want to continue with the Royal theme and visit St George's Chapel which is the place of worship at Windsor Castle or perhaps pick up some delicious fudge at The Fudge Kitchen which is a shop full of quirky fudge charm. You can even watch it being made!

We will then begin our journey back to central London (your driver/guide will give you a time and pickup point to meet at). We should arrive back in central London at around 1:30pm.

It was great to see the castle and the village of Windsor that surrounds it. We also saw the chapel where Harry and Meaghan will get married next month. It will be a bit more special now when I'm watching it on TV since I was just there.
The area around the castle is hilly and both my friend and I have some mobility issues. The employees at the castle could not have been more helpful with getting us a ride up to the castle on a golf cart. As each staff member brought us to the next person, each was more helpful than the last which was hard to do when you start with outstanding visitor service. I was going to skip the Doll House, but was glad I didn't. It is something to see. Loved seeing the State Apartments. I've seen them on TV and it was great to be there in person. We got to be at the castle for about 3 hours on our own. We grabbed some Thai food for take away in the surround village before we left. It was inexpensive and delicious.

It was easy to book and meet up with this bus tour and it was very pleasant, Katya was our guide and she did a good job with narration history and fun facts about London and Windsor Castle and the Royals as we drove to and from Windsor and was helpful in guiding us to Windsor Castle and through the security points and explaining when to meet up after spending the afternoon at the Castle. This tour also included admission to Windsor Castle state apartments, the Queen Mary Dollhouse room, plus St. George's Chapel. Thank you very much!

Great tour! We really enjoyed it, despite the rainy cold weather...The motorcoach was very comfortable and clean and the tour guide did a great job educating us along the way. We had adequate time to explore Windsor Castle and the town of Windsor. We highly recommend!

I have visited many castles and this is one of the best tours I have been on. It is very interesting because it is still a working lived-in facility. Windsor is only 30 minutes outside of central London. We got to see many rooms and buildings. St George Chapel is a beautiful place. It is interesting to see the beautiful rooms that the royal family hosts dignitaries.
We enjoyed the entire time we spent there.

Pickup and drop off were seamless. The driver was great with lots of information to offer on the drive to the castle. He gave us an extra 1/2 hour too!

Good tour. Loved Windsor and the castle. Could have used at least another hour though. Hardly had any time to see the town of Windsor after touring the castle. Other than not enough time it was a very enjoyable tour

Great way to see Windsor and we definitely received everything we were promised in the tour. No fault of anyone - but it rained the day we went so it made everything miserable. Also no fault of anyone - make sure you fully understand maybe by going directly to the Windsor Castle website what is open and not open at the time of year you're there. We were disappointed that we couldn't get in to the round tower seasonal, but I didn't know that and also more rooms of the castle also seasonal. Nothing we could do about it - it's what was available for our travel dates. My only disappointment was the fact that we had little time to just walk around the town of Windsor to shop. Again - we chose the half-day tour but had no idea how quaint the town outside the castle is with little shops and cafe's . If you have the time on your trip.......make it a full day at Windsor not just a half. Well worth it and plenty to do. Everything we purchased with this tour was as described. Still would recommend this if you don't care about extra time.

This tour was not long enough for us but despite this we were well looked after.

The bus was comfortable and fine. However, there was not enough time allotted for the visit. The entry line was quite long and it left us with just over 1 hour to view the castle.

Don't do it! First, the tour guide was 15 min late picking us up. It was raining all day, which of course could not be helped, however - instead of dropping us off at the bus entrance, the tour guide parked at the end of the bus parking lot and we had to walk a longer distance. The tour guide also smoked in front of us, which I found very unprofessional. Next, when we got to the entrance, the tour guide did not have the voucher to give to the ticket people so we could not get our tickets. So we had to go back out and stand in the entrance way for 35 min while he called the main office to get this resolved. We finally got into the castle and the visit was pleasant from then on out. The tour guide gave us extra time, which was nice, but then that further delayed us getting back to London. The tour says you get back to London around 1:30pm, but we did not get back to the pick up point until almost 3:30pm. If you can find a way to get to Windsor, just go on your own. There was absolutely no advice or commentary given about anything, literally just a bus to pick you up and bring you back to London. One of the WORST tour experiences I have ever had. Anderson tours gets 1 star and two thumbs down.
